Ganymede Calling — A Journey Years in the Making
After years of writing, revising, researching, and imagining… Ganymede Calling is almost here.
It’s strange to finally say that.
This story began as a question—one that has fascinated scientists, explorers, and dreamers for generations: What might exist beneath the icy oceans of Jupiter’s moons? That question led me down a path of deep research into Europa, Ganymede, and the very real possibility that life could exist far beyond Earth.
But somewhere along the way, the story became something more.
What started as a scientific idea grew into a world—one filled with discovery, danger, and the kind of choices that define who we are when we step into the unknown. It became a story about first contact, not just with another species, but with a larger universe—one that doesn’t revolve around us.
At the center of it all is Sophia Sigler, a scientist driven to understand what lies beneath the surface—both literally and figuratively. Through her journey, I wanted to explore the tension between curiosity and caution, between discovery and survival.
Writing Ganymede Calling has been the most ambitious project I’ve ever taken on. Over the past four years, I’ve worked to ground the story in real science while still allowing room for imagination—to create something that feels both believable and awe-inspiring.
There were moments when the story felt effortless, and others where it fought me every step of the way. Entire chapters were rewritten. Ideas evolved. Characters grew in ways I didn’t expect. But through all of it, the core idea remained the same:
Humanity is not alone—and we may not be ready for what that means.
Now, as the release approaches, I find myself thinking less about the process and more about what comes next.
Stories don’t really belong to the writer once they’re released. They belong to the readers.
Soon, Ganymede Calling will no longer live only in my head or on my screen—it will be out in the world, in your hands, your thoughts, your imagination.
And that’s both exciting… and a little terrifying.
Thank you to everyone who has followed this journey, offered support, or simply taken an interest in the story. It means more than you might realize.
The countdown has begun - and it’s now days away!
